I went to Macau with four family members. From the hotel to KOTAI STREEP, it is about 7 to 10 minutes by taxi. If you walk around, you can find many restaurants, kiosks, shops and supermarkets. One negative thing is that there was no coffee shop within walking distance. Friendly staff and numbers, especially bathrooms, failed.

I'm not a hypocrite, but to be honest. This is a hotel for adults, and no matter how basic it is for adults! Although the location is bad in the center of Macau, it is close to the ferry terminal! The room is the main cabin of the RV car, which was the hardest bed I've ever slept! Good hotel next to the "Sands Hotel" in Macau. Old hotel near Marina Bay, has a casino in the hotel, but didn't go because Hard Rock, Venetian, Sands, MGM and Galaxy casinos were better.

We hadn't booked a room in advance, and other hotel staff advised us to find a 24-hour travel agency and buy a hotel voucher instead of paying the higher price. This seems to be a common policy for Macau hotels. One was just around the corner, so we popped in, paid HK$600 (weekday) for a room, and went to Golden Dragon to check in. HK$650 with breakfast for two. We checked with reception and it was cheaper than what we would have paid without the voucher (HK$750).

Spacious, clean, with a great view of Fisherman's Wharf, beautiful marble bathroom with a nice bathtub, and even a small sitting area and desk. The only negative point is the hard foam bed, which seems to be the norm in Hong Kong and especially Macau hotels. But it didn't bother me or my partner much. I'm just happy we found a good room at such a good price at such a short notice.

If you're looking for dining options, visit the nearby casinos like Oceanus and try their noodle/cognac restaurant for cheap but good food. Restaurants aren't cheap in Macau, so it's best to eat at casino restaurants that are unpretentious and not rip-offs.
