Make a Floating Dragon

Here are some single tasks that give many visual benefits.

Supplies

Image of your dragon

Silver or bright background (cloth or plastic film)

3 transparent shower curtains (with 1 dollar shop)

Two 10 feet PVC pipes (light ones) 2 "X2" x8 "2 woods (or cut off wood).

If necessary, additional materials for background, wood for trimming, and various screws for curtains that raise and hide lights.

Step 1: Find an Image

Step 2: Copy the Image Using a Grid

If you have a projector and you can prove the image on a large cardboard and copy it! But if you don't have it, consider the following:

1. Draw a 1/ 2-inch gri d-sized line in the read image (use Visio or use a line and handle).

Tips: Using a line of different colors makes it easier to understand when you draw.

2. Draw a 5-inch mesh on a large cardboard. In this case, you should use a line of the same color as the printed matter.

Step 3: Cut and Paint

1. Cut the dragon drawn on the cardboard.

Step 4: Glue Dragon Onto Clear Sheeting

I looked for a transparent plastic film at home. But despite the claim to be "transparent," everything I found was opaque. So I bought three transparent shower curtains at the Dollar Store, saving at least $ 10.

1. Spread a transparent shower curtain on a wide flat surface (such as floor). Depending on how much design it is, it may be necessary to paste the sheet with tape or adhesive. As a result, I glued all three below. The top seat reaches the length of the garage, the dragon is the middle seat, the bottom seat reaches the ground, but still wrap it around the wood of 2 "x2" x8. It was enough.

Note: The shower curtain needs to cut off the upper and lower parts so that it is convenient for hanging. The curtain was 6 feet x 17 feet in total for three pieces.

Step 5: Hang the Backdrop and Dragon

2. Attach a vinyl to another thin pipe (6 to 8 feet) made of PVC. I sleeve with tape, but it works as well if the plastic is glued directly to the PVC pipe.

Step 6: Setup the Lighting

1. Depending on the position of the dragon, it may be necessary to create a "curtain" and increase the lighting near the base of the dragon.

Hint: Cover the curtain with the same cloth as the background so that it hides well.

2. Put the lighting equipment between the background and the plastic layer. Turn the lighting fixture upwards and tilt it a little to the vivid background.

Step 7: Light It Up!

The Blue Dragon is composed of two blue flames in the holder and a round lamp starry sky projector light.

The Golden Dragon is composed of three amber LED lamps with flame effects on the holder.
